Wrapping At Its Pinnacle, With Md-X

Wraps are designed to turn heads and be memorable. Occasionally one comes along that goes way beyond expectations and truly reflects excellence in its class...

The concept of a vehicle being wrapped in printed graphics isn't a new one any longer. It's the nature of the medium itself though that it still has the capacity to rally a whole range of emotions. There are wraps that engage the senses. There are wraps that impress to the extent they're unlikely to be forgotten. There are wraps that amaze with their sheer virtuosity and excellence. And there are wraps that do all this and then some. Stoke-on-Trent based M&M Signs and Graphics' work for its client Pinnacle Slating and Tiling is one of the latter. It's an exemplary work. Brilliantly designed. Expertly printed. Faultlessly finished and applied. It's among the best works seen in its class.

The M&M team discussed the job and its demands with Metamark's Pam Arnold and an appropriate material for meeting the needs of the job was recommended. Pam suggested Metamark's next-generation wrapping film, MetaWrap MD-X for the job based on its MD-Class print quality and its tolerance to elongation and the wrapping process.

The job progressed to printing and laminating and, as promised, the MD-X wrapping film fully liberated all of the subtle details that make the job such and involving and dynamic work. The print invites touching and the closer its observed, the more of the astonishing level of detail that's present reveals itself. Under a layer of matched laminate protection in matt, every detail of M&M's brilliant design radiates through.

Application of such a detailed wrap leaves absolutely no room for errors. All the more remarkable, there are none. Just as the printing is faultless, so to is the application. Every detail falls where its supposed to fall. It all aligns perfectly.

The finished work is among the most eye-catching examples of the wrapping artform seen. As a functional commercial wrap it works brilliantly too. It invites close examination and yet throws a big and memorable punch for the Pinnacle brand. In terms of its contribution as a livery, it turns a van into nothing less than a celebrity.

“M&M's Signs and Graphics Manager Nina Smith said of the wrap, “we're really proud of the work we've done for Pinnacle and delighted with the positive attention that it has received from those who just recognise it as a great livery and from those who fully appreciate the technical merit it has. The team at M&M has done a great job in delivering what our customer really wanted and the support we got from Pam Arnold and Metamark that helped us make it happen shouldn't go without mention too. We're delighted with the Pinnacle livery and our customer is too.”

Take a close look at all that's going on in the pictures and, whether you're a wrap expert or just an avid onlooker, it's clear that wrapping has delivered a work that's at its pinnacle, for a client who lives by the same name.
