Poly Graphics Helps Launch Metal Virtuosity

When start-up metalworking business Metal Virtuosity required its first branded vehicle, Adam Mawer and the Poly Graphics team created a striking partial wrap that transformed a plain white van into a head-turning mobile advertisement and brand-building statement for the new business.

Challenge
Metal Virtuosity approached Poly Graphics as a new company looking to establish a professional presence. Although the customer had an existing logo and some imagery, there was no developed vehicle design or any preconceived ideas of what was needed or even possible. Poly Graphics needed to create an effective layout from limited source material while delivering a vehicle that would help the business stand out from the outset. The project also provided an opportunity to evaluate MetaCast® MDC XR™ on a challenging live wrap application. Our fitting team has really positive things to say about the MetaCast® wrapping film and the result that we achieved looks great.

Solution
Working from the customer’s logo, imagery and supplied copy, the team developed a vehicle design that was approved with minimal revision. The white van received a partial wrap, with full coverage applied to the rear doors and quarters. Printed graphics were produced using MDC XR™ and finished with the matching laminate. Cut vinyl text elements were produced using Metamark MD5. Installation was completed in a single day, with the XR adhesive system noted as easy to handle with exceptional repositionable qualities.

Result
The completed vehicle gave Metal Virtuosity a strong visual identity as it launched its new business. The customer responded positively on collection, expressing his appreciation for both the design and finished result. From a production perspective, the installation was completed efficiently and without difficulty. Following the experience, Adam confirmed he would continue using MDC XR on future projects where it is the appropriate material choice.
