Matte-and-Gloss Vehicle Livery Reinforces Bathroom Brand
MyLife Bathrooms commissioned a fleet of delivery vehicles featuring a matte-and gloss livery designed to replicate a finish first discovered accidentally on a printed curtain-sided truck. The project required a durable, high-impact solution that could be consistently reproduced across solidbodied commercial vehicles.
Challenge
The end-user wanted to recreate a visual effect previously achieved unintentionally during UV printing on a curtain-sided vehicle. The printed area produced a matte appearance against a gloss surface, creating a subtle contrast that the client decided suited the brand well. Replicating that finish on solid-bodied delivery vehicles presented a different challenge entirely, requiring a vinyl-based approach that could maintain consistency across multiple vehicles while integrating smoothly into the bodybuilder’s production process.
Solution
Working through an established relationship with the vehicle bodybuilder, the Trimad team’s specialists designed and applied liveries for five delivery vehicles used to transport bathroom suites and related products. The scheme combined matte and gloss black Metamark M7 vinyl to reproduce the desired tonal contrast without relying on print. The red logo element was also produced in Metamark M7 coloured vinyl. The result was a full cut-vinyl application that delivered the intended finish using layered material contrasts.
Result
The completed fleet gave MyLife Bathrooms a highly distinctive and consistent delivery presence. By recreating the matte-and-gloss effect using cut vinyl rather than print, the installer achieved a clean, premium appearance across all five vehicles. The customer’s continued investment in additional vehicles reflected confidence in both the visual identity and the delivery approach, while the ongoing relationship with the bodybuilder helped streamline production and installation workflows.
