Dead. Cool
The zombie treatment is officially a thing. One Astra owner who wanted her car to turn heads got exactly what she was looking for at Wigan based SkullHouse Wraps and Graphics...
It's not going to appeal to everyone who sees is but that's part of its very attraction in the first place. Anything that's distinctive and on the edgy fringes of taste is going to come with a hint of Marmite. So, take a close look at this very expert wrap, making the most of MetaCast MDC's credentials, from Wigan based SkullHouse Wraps and Graphics.
It's a very heavily modified homage reflecting a Dodge seen by the customer in the USA and which clearly made an impression. That impression was shared with a friend who then suggested a visit to SkullHouse Wraps and Graphics might be in order. The Wigan based specialist has made a name for itself in the area and beyond and had no problem at all signing up to get the wrap job done.
Random spatters and unspeakable stains can look just that if they are arbitrarily applied. SkullHouse's design for its customer looks anything but. Instead, it tells a story. Every hand-print, splash and streak appears to have been accorded its position in the design for a reason that can only be guessed at. It looks suitably nasty and bits of it even have some age. Some of the markings streak out horizontally, speed overcoming gravity. It's a forensic feast for anyone who wants to look closely and there nothing stopping that - the printing and application quality are both brilliant. We have SkullHouse's Dan to thank for that.
The whole ensemble is printed on MetaCast MDC and Matt Laminated in Metamark's matching MGC laminate. The next generation wrapping film is easily repositionable thanks to its MetaGlide adhesive and that would have been important. Clearly, some precision was required to get this right.
Matt wraps turn heads because they're not exactly commonplace. This matt wraps turns heads because its subject matter exercises the medium too. The great match with the contrasting gloss and shine of the wheels was just down to good fortune but we'll claim it. It really tops the whole effect off well.
Don't let the crossing of the zombie-like effect and the name SkullHouse Wraps and Graphics lead you to conclude there's a limit to the scope of the work Kris and Dan's very creative company undertakes. It does brilliant commercial liveries too and its work graces everything from motorcycles to jet-skis. Just ask if you have something special that needs wrapping.
Meantime, we'll leave the SkullHouse team's customer to enjoy her eyecatching wrap and all the attention that comes its way. We have a feeling we're going to see more wraps along similar lines. Whether you like it or not.
Great job, Dan.
