Adventure Island Relies On Metamark Across Seafront Estate
Adventure Island’s in-house graphics department supports Stockvale’s attractions, restaurants and hospitality venues. Using Metamark MD5 materials, the small internal team delivers signage, ride theming, restaurant graphics and promotional content across a demanding coastal environment.
Challenge
Operating a large seafront leisure business creates continual demand for graphics production, maintenance and visual updates. External signage is exposed to harsh coastal weathering, while attractions and hospitality venues require regular seasonal refreshes and re-theming. Alongside larger fascia and ride projects, the internal team also handles fastturnaround requests from catering outlets and marketing departments, ranging from menu amendments to social media graphics, often while the park remains operational and visitor-facing throughout busy trading periods.
Solution
Adventure Island maintains a fully internal graphics operation handling design, artwork, print and installation internally rather than outsourcing production. Frankie Fone leads the department alongside illustration and signwriting specialists producing ride graphics, restaurant fascias, promotional displays and digital assets. Production is centred around a Roland SG-540 printer, Roland laminator and Dell-based design workstations using Photoshop, Serif Draw and Affinity software. Metamark materials, in particular MD5 and MG-700, are used throughout the park for the majority of applications, with Frankie estimating that “ninety-five percent of everything in the park is Metamark” following years of consistent use across signage and display projects.
Result
The internal graphics capability allows Adventure Island to respond quickly to operational demands while maintaining visual consistency across multiple attractions and hospitality venues. Combining established workflows, familiar equipment and long-term use of Metamark materials has helped the team manage everything from reactive signage replacement to large-scale seasonal theming projects. The structure also gives the business flexibility to support marketing, catering and attraction teams directly, while keeping production knowledge and creative control within the organisation itself.
