Blackpool based Links Signs and Graphics recently completed its 100th vehicle livery of the year using Metamark materials. Not bad when vehicles aren't among your core business...
Links Signs and Graphics is, as the name suggests, a well known and respected signs and graphics producer based in Blackpool and whose work is well known in the town and much further beyond.
Having recently celebrated its tenth year in business, Links Sign has grown since its founding behind a business ethic that basically finds a way of getting challenging projects reduced to practice, done and delivered, for a very demanding clientele.
Being at the centre of one of Britain's entertainment destinations ensures that Links Signs and Graphics attracts work in great variety. The work it routinely undertakes in transforming spaces into experiential destinations predates the widespread application of printed material to walls. The company pioneered in areas of material application that have since become popular. Its clientele includes major entertainment operators where it delivers event-scale applied graphics on the one hand, and the same application of highly evocative graphics to walls for therapeutic benefit to patients in hospitals on the other.
If asked, vehicle livery would be the last specialisation the company would claim. Despite this though, Shaun and Carl Bennett and the team discovered that the most recent vehicle they'd invoiced was the hundredth the company had undertaken that year! Not bad for a company that doesn't promote itself as a vehicle specialist.
The hundred or more vehicles that have been liveried and lettered by Links Signs and Graphics so far represents a fair mix of applications. The company produces advertising graphics for taxi fleets, livery for small businesses locally and even stage vehicles used in Blackpool's local attractions. Everything the company undertakes is built from its design foundations upward. The digital graphics Links applies to the vehicles it works with have the same creative credentials as the spectacular murals for which its better known.
Links Signs and Graphics is a long standing customer of Metamark. The vehicle work it has delivered has Metamark MD5 and MD-X behind it. With backgrounds in commercial wide format print production and graphic design Shaun, Carl and the team at Links Signs and Graphics have found a formula that works for them. They've no plans to change.
