Caerphilly based Print Sauce designs and installs a pitch-side hoarding programme for the University Of South Wales…

Football, we’re assured, is coming home, and in the case of the Treforest Campus of the University of South Wales near Cardiff, that means an exceptional indoor pitch that league youth teams, among others, use regardless of weather. Simply put, indoor facilities of its quality and calibre are not exactly commonplace.

Caerphilly based signs and graphics manufacturer, Print Sauce, was contracted recently to provide the facility with a pitch-side hoarding programme. The hoardings were needed to promote the University itself to visitors to its Treforest campus.

Print Sauce is no stranger to projects on the kind of scale presented and set about the job of designing the forty or so 3m X 1m hoarding elements comprising the programme. The full-colour graphics reflect the ID long established for the university and required full compliance with the brand’s guidelines.

The hoarding graphed were printed on Metamark MD5 High-Tack digital media protected by the product’s matching MetaGuard matt laminated. The laminate puts Print Sauce’s expertly printed graphics behind seventy micron of very durable and crystal clear protection. This ensures the hoarding programme will do its job promoting the university for years to come, and that the inevitable battle-rash that pitch-side graphics are subject to will be shrugged off.

Will so many panels adjacent, consistency of the colour renderings is a consideration. Print Sauce and its work as a printer deserves its credentials. The work is extremely well executed. The MD5 Metamark vinyl was printed on an Epson wide-format inkjet printer, a partnership that Print Sauce has proven across a wide range of works the company has undertaken. Needless to say, the University is delighted with the job and it’ll be seen by the thousands who visit the facility.
