SURF’S UP AND SO IS THE SUN WITH MDX

Elite Signs and Graphics gets a gorgeous VW on the road…

This is one summer when anyone who chose to spend holiday-time here on our own island can’t possibly have a basis for complaint. And it’s not just great weather we’ve been having, we’ve got great destinations too. Among them, Swansea Bay.

Should you have felt a compulsion to get yourself and your family to Swansea Bay for all the action and charms the region has to offer, it may be because you’ve had your head turned, whether you know it or not, by an absolutely brilliant wrap delivered by Bridgend based Elite Signs and graphics.

Simon James and his team are no strangers to wrapping of course but this particular job was notable in that it draws on the iconic nature of the very vehicle it uses, and not just the graphics the vehicle wears, to make the point.

The vehicle’s a VW. A VW of a particular type and vintage that you’ll see gravitating toward the coast, from all points of the UK, whenever there’s a weekend in prospect or a scrap of blue sky to be seen. One swallow might not make a summer, a fleet of VW’s does though.

Pear Communications hatched the plan on behalf of those charged with Swansea Bay’s promotion and did a great job with its livery design of getting summer distilled to its very essence on four wheels. The team at Elite Signs made it all fit and then printed the work on Metamark’s next-generation wrapping film, MetaWrap MD-X which was then laminated and applied. Printing is flawless, application is precise, the whole work makes a brilliant rolling advertisement for the ‘Bay.

MetaWrap MD-X will resist all that wind and weather can throw at it and this summer that means sun and lots of it. The message won’t fade and the MD-X will stay looking like the good fit it is for Elite Signs’ standards for as long as its needed.

The ‘van’s in Ireland at the moment. Keep your eyes open for it. It’s there to bring people to Swansea Bay for a good time. It’s working too.
