Staffordshire Wrapz complete a VW T6 with a stunning Bullitt Green part wrap…

As anyone who has ever headed south on a British motorway in the summer months will know, VW ’Ts’ have really proliferated. The population has grown to the extent that anyone who doesn’t have a VW on the drive at home must be asking, “what am I missing?”

The VW Transporter, the T6 in particular, is arguably one of the best and most flexible platforms on which to build a fully customised tiny home away from a regular one. The pastime is so popular that it supports a whole sub-culture of DIY converters in addition to an industry comprising fit-out designers and specialists. The results they achieve can be stunning with every comfort needed for time away ingeniously shoehorned into the premium space that the van makes available. 

Personalisation is a core theme and doesn’t stop at breathing on engines and suspension or furnishing amazing interiors. The ‘cult’ seems to have more than its statistical quota of personal registration plates and some of the best paint treatments and wraps on the road.

One such example was very recently sent into the wild by the team at Staffordshire Wrapz, based not far north of Birmingham in Burntwood Staffordshire. The T6 in question, and its owners, came looking for a wrap to enhance its exterior and had set the bar high given the quality of the vehicle’s simply stunning insides. 

The owners were looking for something on the green spectrum and found it at Staffordshire Wrapz. After a little discussion and negotiation Metamark’s Bullitt Green, named in homage to the Mustang in the film ‘Bullitt,’ was chosen. It’s a colour with personality and, while it’s a ringer for the car in Bullitt, it also does a fine job of evoking VW colourways from times past.

The film is a premium cast offering from the MetaCast® MCX colour-change range of automotive materials and, in very skilled hands, it flows like paint. No shortage of those hand at Staffordshire Wrapz and so the application is nothing less than perfect. The line of the colour break intersects a difficult path on the vehicle’s rear but nothing that a little judicious cutting can’t fix. The result? Perfection. And a truly unique T6 personalised to the owners’ preferences. 

Staffordshire Wrapz is in danger of making a name for this class of work in VW circles and word travels fast. The company’s not too far from a motorway south itself and, based on what we see here, is likely to have other VW owners dropping in for a chat.
