As human comfort has become a lead factor in modern architectural design, and energy saving more than just a tick in the box, integrated blinds have bubbled to the top of most specifiers’ shopping lists when it comes to both new building projects and retro-fits. Such blinds help building occupiers manage the view in and out of glazed areas, and accentuate the look and feel of the spaces they improve.

 

Notan is among the leading companies in the UK manufacturing and supplying integrated blinds. Like any company selling into a market that’s design-led, Notan is particularly self-critical when it comes to its own branded market-facing presentation. It shows. The company operates behind a beautifully designed and very well managed corporate identity.

 

Based in Newmarket in the UK, Notan conducts its business locally and much further afield and has at its disposal its own transport fleet. The fleet vehicles have very recently been treated to new branded liveries produced and installed by Ipswich based Signs For You Limited. The assignment came to Signs For You via a referral from one of the signs and graphics producer’s very satisfied client.

 

The livery design was prescribed by the client and Adam Jackson and the team at Signs For You first imposed the data on the various fleet vehicles. The design as delivered ignores traditional boundaries and treats the available panel space as cohesive canvas. The ID is swept in colour and density and so transitions needed to flow across vehicle details and voids such as windows smoothly and correctly.

 

The team printed the liveries using its well maintained Mimaki CJV-300 on MetaCast MDC. This premium cast wrapping films has a legendary appetite for ink thanks to its MD-Class credentials and the printed results are free of gradation artefacts. The superb prints are protected by a durable layer of the wrapping film’s matching Metamark MGC cast laminate.

 

Five vehicle were involved in the project and the results are consistent across them all. Application is both meticulous and flawless. From any angle and from any distance the result looks nothing less than sensational.
