Zara Public turns a stunning multihull into the star of the marina…

There’s a lot of opinion as to why boats are mostly white. Some say that white reflects much of the direct sunlight that beats down relentlessly at sea and this helps keep things aboard cooler. Another adds that white is easily maintained when it ‘weathers’ and this contains cost and effort. 

Travel to the Port of Split in beautiful Croatia and you may be lucky enough to spot a particular Lagoon Sixty 7 if she’s not at sea. She’s a rather attractive multi-hulled motor-yacht that answers to the name of ‘MasterMind.’ The top-sides of this stunning vessel are the usual story of glazed white superstructure and flybridge sat on teak and holly decks. The hulls though are blazing red down to the waterline. 

Not a trace of white.

Underneath the distinctive red conventional white hull fabricated from modern GRP-like materials. Boats and wrapping are acquainted of course but not to the extent that wheeled transport can claim. MasterMind invites the question though, could there be a developing interest in wrapping boats and will wrapped vessels become more commonplace than they are today?

MasterMind was ‘masterfully’ wrapped by the team at Zara Public who’re based in Zadar not far along the coast from MasterMind’s marina-base and who are supplied by Metamark’s distribution partner in the region, Black Line.
