Jason Keating Dot Com uses its skills and bit of help from Metamark Materials to get Gary’s Refreshments noticed…

 

If there’s one thing that’s virtually guaranteed to pull a vehicle going from A to B off its intended path, it’s the sight of a roadside catering trailer. It may be in a lay-by or parked at the side of a road, but the merest glimpse promises a hot mug of tea and an onion-laden burger or toasted sandwich - all essential to reviving the driver for the journey ahead. It almost seems rude not to pull over once seen.

 

Thanks to the efforts and enterprise of Jason Keating Dot Com, the St Helens based signmaker and print supplier, Gary’s Refreshments now has a trailer unit that really stands out among others. In a business where getting noticed looks like success, the wrapped unit is a bit of a masterpiece. 

 

Gary’s refreshments came to Jason Keating having worked with the company before. The catering trailer in question was procured by Gary’s Refreshments in the cold, dark weeks at the end of 2021 and it needed to be looking its best in time for the New Year. 

 

When the trailer rocked up, it was a bit of a sorry sight. The graphics it was then wearing owed more to anti-brands like ‘Tea’ and ‘Burger’ rather than the promotion of any enterprise. The pictures on the unit were not flattering and certainly did nothing to promote appetite or give a sense of its identity. 

 

No problem.

 

Jason Keating enjoys a great reputation for the quality of its transformational graphics and set to work elevating the anonymous vehicle into something worth pulling over for. Having prepared the unit for its newly designed clothes, work could begin with the application.

 

Jason Keating, having considered the available options, elected to use a very flattering covering of Metamark M7A, in a head-turning shade of blue, for the background fields of colour. The coloured-in-the mass film features Metamark’s MetaScape Adhesive and is applied dry without giving trapped air a chance. The film was gently warmed during application because of its cold surroundings and was easy to work with according to Jason Keating.

 

The graphical elements that give the unit its attractive identity were printed on Metamark MD5-A another MetaScape wearing advanced film. Contrasting with the fields of blue, they succeed in finishing a vehicle that really stands out among the less imaginatively branded vehicles of its type. In short, it needs to get noticed - and it does.

 

While the Metamark materials used have done a fine job, there’s considerable technical merit evident in Jason Keating’s work. The unit’s convoluted surfaces are not the easiest to approach and leave no room for error. Look as closely as you like, this is an exemplary application and it does Jason Keating and its client credit.
